Squinted Cinema started as an idea to document weddings with an “off the beaten path” approach. Our approach is simple – we film with intention that has your day feeling natural and not overly stage while still capturing the genuine, beautiful moments. From the get go, with our Super 8 Film and unique edits, we have been honored to travel near and far. Even though we are seasoned, we still thrive in the fun atmosphere and get giddy about our couple. Yep, we’re a little sappy, but why wouldn’t we be…we tell love stories!

Hi…this is me (Chris Lopez) behind one of our vintage Super 8 cameras. I have always been fascinated with stories told through motion. I kind of fell into weddings, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Wedding films have intimately connected me with families, cultures and parts of the world that are fascinating and make me appreciate my own culture and family. Our team is home grown and have been with me since Squinted Cinema was born. I look forward to hearing your story and documenting a pretty special chapter in your life.
